OnePlus has finally announced its second 2015 flagship smartphone, OnePlus X, at an event held today in London. Unlike OnePlus 2 that precedes it, OnePlus X comes with a more realistic design. This is splitted into two categories. The first sports a ceramic build and the second an Onyx back black glass, both lined with an anodized aluminium frame.
According to OnePlus, the ceramic model will be available in limited quantity and only 10,000 pieces will be made. Pricing of both differs as well, the Onyx Black model will costs £199 ($304 USD, #60,500 NGN) while the Ceramic Model will costs £269 ($410 USD, #81,700 NGN). As usual, the OnePlus X will be available strictly via Invite system only starting from November 5.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t possess Fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port as its predecessor. Specwise, the OnePlus X features a 5-inch AMOLED display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by the now-outdated but sufficient quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, alongside with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone houses a 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card (up to 128GB).
It runs the company’s Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, and has hybrid dual-SIM slot that enable the second SIM slot to be use as a MicroSD card slot. At the rear, the OnePlus X harbours a 13-megapixel camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.4 aperture is placed at the front for selfie.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2525mAh battery.
