OPPO Mobiles has introduced a new smartphone in its home country called A9. The Chinese firm today announced the device and made known its pricing and availability for China. The phone is priced at CNY 1799 (US$266) and will be available for purchase from April 30th. It, however, can be pre-order from today at OPPO eStore.
In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM enabled OPPO A9 features a 6.5-inch LCD display with Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution, boasting a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. It has a dewdrop notch at the top of the display that accommodates the front camera and other array of sensors. Under the hood, the phone is powered a MediaTek Helio P70 12nm octa-core processor, running at a speed of 2.1GHz, paired with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 6GB of RAM.

A 128GB storage resides inside with supports of up to 256GB of expandable storage via a MicroSD card. In optics, the new OPPO A9 sports dual rear-facing camera; the main camera has a 16MP module, while the secondary 2MP rear camera is meant for capturing the depth of field. At the front is a 16MP camera for taking selfie.
The device runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Connectivity present includes Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, Dual 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB OTG. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and is fuelled by a 4020mAh battery with supports for fast charging.
Color options available for the OPPO A9 are Jade White, Mica Green, and Fluorite Purple.
