President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday address a joint session of the National Assembly on plans being made by his administration to address the security challenges of the country.
The President’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, revealed this in a message she posted on her Twitter handle, @Laurestar, on Monday.

The message read, “President @MBuhari will address a joint meeting of the National Assembly (@nassnigeria) on Thursday, December 10, 2020.”
Recall that the House of Representatives had a week ago Tuesday welcomed the President to show up on the floor of the parliament over the rising spate of insecurity in the nation.
The Senate had likewise in a different goal requested that the President sack his service chiefs.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, had last Wednesday said the President had consented to address Nigerians, through the government legislators, on the security challenges defying the country.
Gbajabiamila revealed this in a meeting with State House reporters after he drove heads of the House of Representatives to a gathering with Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Gbajabiamila said the greeting was reached out to the President at the gathering however with no particular date joined in regard to him and his tight timetable.
He had stated, “What we essentially looked for was to pass on the goal of the House and to fix a date which we didn’t fix keeping in mind Mr. President and his extremely close timetable, what date will be helpful.
“We have conceded to date and he will meet with the House to address the circumstance. We have fixed a date however we will speak with you.”
