With few days remaining for the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES) to kick-start in Las Vegas, Samsung has pulled the wraps off a new high-tech premium ultra-wide QLED curved monitor called CJ791. The monitor, which boasts of an ultra-wide QHD panel is claimed as world’s first to comes with Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
Its stunning ultra-wide QHD display with a pixel resolution of 3440×1440 and an aspect ratio of 21:9 is fitted inside a 34-inch screen, which has a minimal top and side bezels that gives it an edge-less view. According to Samsung, the 21:9 aspect ratio of the CJ791 provides more screen real estate for multitasking. Furthermore, the company said professionals will find the display useful for viewing large files, spreadsheets and data tables in a readable formats without extensive scrolling and zooming.

A single Thunderbolt 3 port included with the monitor will let users paired multiple devices without clusters of wire. The Thunderbolt 3 offers a roaring speed of 40Gbps, which is four times the speed of what USB offers, and can provide an 85W of laptop charging power. The port let users easily connect range of supported devices such as docks, peripheral devices, USB Type-C laptops, external storage drives and graphic cards.

The Samsung CJ791 QLED Curved Monitor will be display at CES2018 in second week of January along with the company recently announced NW700 Soundbar Sound+ and Notebook 9 (2018) laptop series. Its pricing and availability is expected to be announce at the event.
