OPPO Mobile has introduced a new budget smartphone in its home country called A5. The Chinese firm today announced the device and made known its pricing and availability for China. The phone is priced at CNY 1500 ($225) and is scheduled to go on sale starting from July 13th. It, however, can be pre-order from today.
In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM enabled OPPO A5 features a 6.2-inch LCD display with HD+ (1520×720) resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It has a notch on the top of the display that accommodates the front camera and other array of sensors. Driving the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform running at a speed of 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

A 64GB of storage resides inside with supports of up to 256GB of expandable storage via a MicroSD card. In optics, the A5 bears dual rear-facing camera; the primary sporting a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, while the secondary rear camera has a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for capturing the depth of field. At the front is an 8MP fixed-focus camera with an f2.2 aperture for taking selfie.
The new OPPO phone runs Color OS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Connectivity present includes Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB OTG. It measures 156.2×75.6×8.2mm, weigh 168 grams, and is backed by a 4230mAh/4100mAh battery (typical/minimum).
Color options available for the OPPO A5 are Mirror Pink and Mirror Blue.
