Having released Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet last week, Sony Mobile has announced that global rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop for Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Dual will start today worldwide. The announcement was made on Monday via blog post.
The new update which brings Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard comes with more features such as Android For Work, and Guest Mode. It also includes new Wallpapers, Lockscreen, Notification and Homescreen.

The Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, and Z Ultra were launched in 2013 while the Xperia Z3 Dual was launched in 2014. Common specifications between the Z and Z1 device are 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable up to 64GB), and 4G LTE. The Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch full-HD (1080p) display and sports a 20.7-megapixel at the rear camera and a 2-megapixel camera at the front. It is backed by a 3000mAh.
On the other hand, the Xperia Z Ultra features a larger 6.4-inch full-HD (1080p) display and packs an 8-megapixel camera at the rear while it also houses a 2-megapixel camera at the front. It is backed by 3050mAh battery. Lastly, the Xperia Z1 Compact features 4.3-inch HD (720p) display, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, and 2300mAh battery.
