Stop Undermining The National Assembly-President Buhari to MDA’s

President Muhammadu Buhari has cautioned government agencies, ministries and departments (MDAs) against showing disrespect to the National Assembly. Buhari gave the admonition hours after the management staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) left the house of reps panel.

At a gathering with Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the place of delegates, on Thursday, Buhari recognized the job of the legislative council towards the country building.

According to President Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, the president stated his high regard for the National Assembly.

As indicated by Shehu, Buhari stated, “any lack of respect to the legislature by any executive member won’t be acknowledged”.

“Ministers and all heads of Departments and Agencies ought to consistently act in manners that won’t subvert the National Assembly as an establishment, its initiative and individuals,” he additionally said.

“The President and the pioneers of the National Assembly perceived and recognized that the Executive and Legislative arms of government are basic accomplices in the satisfaction of their commonly adjusted objective of improving the lives of the Nigerian individuals.”

Kemebradikumo Pondei, Acting Managing Director and other administrative staff yesterday left the house of representative committee hearing investigating NDDC. He left after insisting that the chairman of the panel cannot hold the hearing.

Before Pondei stormed out with his management staff, he said that the chairman of the panel, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, had been accused of misrepresenting the NDDC and for this reason, he isn’t supposed to lead the panel handling same issue similar to what he was earlier accused of.
