Xiaomi has launched a new budget smartphone under its Mi series in China named Mi 4S, a new variant of the Mi 4 released by the firm in July 2014. The device is priced at CNY 1699 ($260 USD) and will be available in China starting next month (March). No word on global availability.
The Mi 4S features a 5-inch IPS fully-Laminated display with a full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution, touting a pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor of unknown clock speed, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. There is a 64GB of built-in storage onboard with external storage support via MicroSD card.

The Mi 4S runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box topped with MIUI 7, and offers dual-SIM functionality. A fingerprint sensor is hosted at the back for smart security and authentication. In photograpy, the device houses a 13-megapixel camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and twin-tone LED flash, capable of recording video in full-HD (1080p), while it sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11ac (dual band + MIMO), 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, and USB Type-C. It is fuelled by a 3,260mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0. The phone comes in four different colours, White, Pink, Gold and Black.
