With Akpabio’s revelation, many people now doubt the credibility of the members in the committee investigating the alleged fraud committed by the NDDC.
While speaking to the parliament members committee investigating the NDDC today, The Speaker in the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila said never for once did he receive any contracts from the NDDC before.
He however told Akpabio to between two days (48 hours) list the names of those members of parliament NDDC contracts were awarded to or else be punished.
He also noted that the accusation Akpabio brought against members in the house of representatives is very grave. He continued by saying that he takes the accusation very seriously so the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs must bring proof backing up his accusations.
Femi Gbajabiamila also gave high praise to the chairman of the committee investigating the NDDC, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for gracefully stepping down from the committee.
