Nigerian youths have been protesting for more than a week now and calling on the government to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), a police unit that has been accused several times of extra-judicial killings and human rights violations.

After much protest to #ENDSARS, the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed on Sunday announced the disbanding of the Special Anti Robbery Squad which will be replaced by a new police unit called the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).
Although SARS has been disbanded, the nationwide protests still continue as the youth are now asking the government to reform the Nigeria Police Force.

Meanwhile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has constantly appealed to the protesting youths in the state to remain calm and allow all levels of governments to act on their demands.

The governor promised the youths that their voices and reason for the protest have been heard adding that the protest has really affected the movement of traffic and businesses in the state.
