For those of us not conversant with what a ‘bucket list’ means, it simply is just a list of things you will like to do or places you will like to visit before you attain a certain age or before you die. We have seven wonders of the world that may or may not be among places you will like to visit from your bucket list but do you know that in Nigeria, there are beautiful places that can be categorized as wonders in Nigeria? 1. Ogbunike Caves


This beautiful cave is situated in Anambra State and the East of Nigeria. The name Ogbunike was taken from a town called Ogbunike Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Ogbunike caves were discovered by a man named Ukwa, who hails from the Umucheke family of Ifite-Ogbunike, about 4000 years ago. Inside the cave, water drops occasionally from the roof of the caves, and many spiritualists believe that the water is healing water and many come to collect it for different ailments.

2. Idanre Hills

Idanre hill or Oke Idanre can be found in Idanre town right in Ondo State, Nigeria. It is a beautiful place that should be added to your bucket list of places you must visit in Nigeria. The Idanre people have been in existence for over 800 years.

3. Mandara Mountains


The Mandara mountain is located in Adamawa state along the Cameroon border. The place was also seen as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999 and so far, tourists visiting Adamawa State always visit the Mandara Mountain.

4. Ikogosi Warm Spring


What makes Ikogosi spring a wonder in Nigeria is the warm and cold springs that flow to a point where they meet, and when they meet, the water temperature does not change. The Ikogosi spring is located in Ekiti State. The magical phenomena in this spring are what makes it a tourist destination.

5. Ado Awaye Suspended Lake


Ado Awaye lake is one of the only two suspended lakes in the whole world, fascinating right? This is why tourists always visit this lake whenever they find themselves in Oyo State. The other suspended lake, Hanging Lake can be found in Colorado, United States of America

6. Farin Ruwa Waterfalls, Nasarawa


Farin Ruwa falls is located at Farin Ruwa Development Area, under Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Because of its white color, it looks like a cloud of smoke from afar. The white falls earned it its name, Farin Ruwa.
