Honor V9 comes to Europe as Honor 8 Pro with Free VR Cardboard

Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei company has announced a new flagship smartphone called Honor 8 Pro for global markets. The device, which was launched as Honor V9 exclusively in China earlier this year is powered by an octa-core Kirin 960 chipset, the end-of-the-line in Kirin processor line-up and the most powerful.

Coming to its appearance, the device seems to have inherit its design from the Honor P series (P10 on our mind) including its slim body profile. Clearly visible at the upper rear is dual camera setup that reminds us of Honor 8 , horizontally-aligned with twin-tone LED flash placed besides it . The fingerprint sensor is allowed to occupy the upper-mid row, sitting at 12 o’clock, and right below is honor logo engraved on the hard metal shell and on the bezel too.

One of the features that distinguish the Honor 8 Pro from Honor V9 on the outside is its package. While the Honor V9 package offer no use after unsealed and will probably end up in a dustbin, the Honor 8 Pro package can serve as a VR cardboard as designed by Huawei, an additional bonus. The phone is also flaunting a new feature called “Highlights” that auto sort and arrange photos in gallery by date, places, people and events.

It is not clear yet if Huawei will launch 128GB storage version of the smartphone just like V9.
