It is no longer news that LG will be launching its first flagship smartphone in 2017, G6, later this month at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. While the company has officially revealed the software aspects of its upcoming device, the full live images revealing the front and back view in all of its glory have surfaced online.
The images, which were revealed by 9to5Google shows how the LG G6 looks like and what to expect from the device. The Always-on display is what first caught our attention, with the clock and date, battery bar and percentage, and a menu icon clearly visible on the display in what seems to be in sleep mode. It isn’t surprising that LG is not opting for a secondary display to show these notifications, this may ofcourse have a negative impact on the phone dimensions and its overall design—especially its narrow side bezels considering its large display.

The front camera, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and the earpiece can be seen on top of the screen arranged from left to right, while a LG logo occupied the bottom bezel, eliminating the use of a physical home button and a front-placed fingerprint sensor. The LG G6 volume rocker are located on the left while the speaker grill and the USB Type-C port are fairly visible on the bottom (you will have to zoom in).
The second image once again proved the existence of dual rear-facing cameras, both aligned horizontally with twin-tone LED flash placed inbetween and a fingerprint sensor right beneath. The robust design of LG G6 and the curvature of its metal build are fully revealed in the second image. As far as we are concerned considering what is shown in the pictures, the G6 is not going to be one of the slimmest smartphone in town but may be one of the best in terms of build.
LG earlier this week confirmed that the LG G6 will be featuring a 5.7-inch FullVision QHD+ (1440×2880) display with 18:9 aspect ratio for compatibility with existing and upcoming
digital content, which will be made possible by the company’s new UX 6.0. Other rumoured specs includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, and 3,200mAh battery.
The LG G6 will be officially launched at MWC on February 26 2017. We will be here to bring you all the update, do stay in touch.
