OPPO has launched a new camera-centric smartphone in China under its “A” series of products namely A57. The device boasts a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for better selfie capture in low-lighting area. It also house a 13-megapixel camera at the back with Phase Detection Auto Focus and LED flash. Apart from these notable features, other specs pose of intermediate-level.
The OPPO A57 comes with a 5.2-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixel. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, slammed with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone is loaded with 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow governs all software’s activities with the firm proprietary ColorOS 3.0 on top, and there are hybrid dual SIM slots onboard that enables users to use the second SIM slot as a MicroSD slot. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE + VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (du2900mAh batteryal band), 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 2900mAh battery, capable of rendering up to 11 hours of video playback and 23 hours 40 minutes of talk time.
The OPPO A57 is priced at CNY 1599 (US$ 230). It will be available from December 12 in China in two different colors, Gold and Rose Gold.
