Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Play with Moto Mods Officially Comes to India

Motorola today has officially launched Moto Z and Moto Z Play, its high-end Android smartphones in India weeks after the device were announced for global markets. The Moto Z made its first appearance in June at an event in San Francisco and the Moto Z Play last month.

The device features 5.5-inch screen with the former boasting a Quad-HD (1440p) resolution and the later full-HD (1080p). What makes these phones explicitly different from other Motorola smartphones is their supports of Moto Mods, modular accessories that can be attach to a special 12 pin connector to further extend the functionality of hardwares. Both runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with fingerprint sensors.

The Moto Z carries a price tag of Rs 39,999 ($600) while the Moto Z Play is priced at Rs 24,999 ($375). The phones will be exclusively availability on e-commerce sites FlipKart and Amazon India from October 17th.

Motorola also launched its Moto Mods in India, Insta-Share Projector at Rs 19,999 ($300), Hasselblad TrueZoom camera at Rs 19,999 ($300), JBL SoundBoost at Rs 6,999 ($105), and Incipio offGRID Power Pack at Rs 5,999 ($90).
