ZTE has launched a new pocket-friendly smartphone in China, Blade A2. The phone poses a sleek metal body that measure just 7.9mm at its thickest point, and weigh only 135 grams. Its miniature body size and weight however doesn’t compromise what it has in store on the inside. Sitting on the front is a 5-inch IPS display, which boasts a decent HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi. A powerful octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset with 64-bit crest, clocked at 1.5GHz powered the hardware, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU.
The Blade A2 comes with a 16GB of built-in storage that is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card, and offers hybrid dual SIM slots, enabling users to use to the second SIM slot as a MicroSD card slot. Android 5.1 Lollipop governs all software activities, and there is a fingerprint sensor at the back for advanced security via biometric authentication. In photography, the phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus and LED flash, while a 5-megapixel selfie camera is placed at the front, also accompanied with a LED flash.

Connectivity options included are Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE + VoLTE, 3G, 2G, and GPS. It is fuelled by a 2500mAh battery.
The ZTE Blade A2 is priced CNY 699 ($105 USD). It will be available in Gold, Silver and Grey colour options when it go on sale on 16th of June in China. Availability details for other markets is unknown.
