Chuwi, the Chinese tablet maker, popularly known for its wide varieties of 2-in-1’s, has added a new hybrid tablet to its dual-boot portfolio in China. The HiBook as the device was named, is listed on third-party online stores including GeekBuying and GearBest at about $235 USD, and is expected to start shipping sometime in April.

In physical aspect, the Chuwi HiBook is wrapped in a sleek aluminium body that measures 262 x 167.5 x 8.7mm, and weighs around 550 grams. Its major highlight is its dual-boot capabillity, running both Microsoft latest Windows 10 and Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 10.1-inch display with WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) resolution, flaunting pixel density of 224ppi and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is driven by a fifth-generation quad-core Intel Atom Z8300 processor with a base speed of 1.44GHz that can turbo boost up to 1.84GHz, coupled with Intel HD Graphics (gen 8) and 4GB of RAM. A 64GB of storage is equipped inside, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

The Chuwi HiBook however does not support voice-calling, but it does support external 3G module for internet browsing. A 5-megapixel camera is equipped at the rear, while it houses a 2-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options onboard includes Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI port, 1x USB port, 1x Micro-USB port, and 1x USB 3.1 Type-C port. It is fuelled by a 6,600mAh battery.

The Chuwi HiBook is bundled with a magnetic detachable keyboard. It will be available in two different colors, Gold with White panel and Grey with Black panel.
