Along Windows 10 hybrid tablet announced earlier, Alcatel has also officially took the wraps off its latest smartphones, Idol 4 and Idol 4S, both of which were teased earlier this month. Alcatel is yet to revealed their pricing and availability, something we will have to wait to find out.
The Idol 4 and Idol 4S packages are enough to convince anyone how premium these two gadgets are. Not just some paper or cardboard wrappers, but a premium looking innovation. The packaging innovative design enables it to be transform into a pair of Virtual Reality goggles for 360-degree viewing when using the phones, during video playback or gaming. A pre-loaded app, OneTouch VR, also enables users to download or stream VR contents.

In software aspect, both smartphones runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Alcatel is touting a new functionality, Reversible Display, integrated in the device interface that auto adjust the display to whatever angle the phones are picked up, either right, left, up and down, meaning, users can operate the phones at any angle. Also, the Idol 4 and Idol 4S both packs two 3.6watts speakers enhanced with NXP’s TFA9890 Smart Power Amplifier for best listening pleasure.
