Sony is now the third phone manufacturer to openly declare its smartphones that’ll be receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update after Motorola, who posted its eligible smartphones during the weekend, and HTC.
Google made the first move during its organized event last week by announcing Nexus devices that’ll be receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and since then other top phone manufacturing companies have been declaring theirs too.

Sony is the latest to made its own declaration, posting out the lists of its Xperia devices that’ll be receiving the update. They device are as follows:
- Xperia Z2
- Xperia Z2 Tablet
- Xperia Z3
- Xperia Z3 Compact
- Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
- Xperia Z3+
- Xperia Z4 Tablet
- Xperia Z5
- Xperia Z5 Compact
- Xperia Z5 Premium
- Xperia M5
- Xperia M4 Aqua
- Xperia C5 Ultra
- and Xperia C4
More features and functionality will be added to further boost user experience, said the company. Though it failed to reveal what they might be. Exact timing of update roll out is not mentioned as well. We expect Samsung and LG to make their own declarations in the coming days.
