Alcatel has launched a new photo-centric smartphone named OneTouch Flash 2. The phone will be available in Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam via e-commerce site Lazada when it goes on sale later this month. Global availability and pricing details is not revealed.
The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is an upgraded variant and successor of OneTouch Flash launched in September 2014. It features a 5-inch IPS touchscreen display with HD (720 × 1280 pixels) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 294ppi. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and has two SIM slots with support of 4G LTE. Diving in, the smartphone is driven by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, backed with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

It has a 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). The most notable feature of Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is its camera, the device packs a 13-megapixel rear snapper with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor and dual-tone LED flash, which is capable of recording videos in full-HD (1080p), while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera with f/2.2 aperture, OmniVision 5648 sensor and soft-LED flash is placed at the front.
Connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS/A-GPS. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
