Samsung has launched Galaxy Core Prime VE, it latest entry-level smartphone in India. The device is listed on the firm eStore page with a price tag of Rs 8,600 (US$134), however, its availablity details is not disclose.
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE is a new variant of Galaxy Core Prime that was released in September last year. It features a 4.5-inch PLS TFT display with WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution, and packs a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (not specified) slammed with 1GB of RAM. It houses an 8GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 64GB).

The Galaxy Core Prime VE runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and has two SIM slots both of which supports 3G. It bears a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash at the rear, while a 2-megapixel camera sits at the front. Connectivity options included besides 3G are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS. It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode. According to Samsung, the battery can deliver up to 1.2 days of standby time with 10% battery.
