Dell has added to a new affordable Android tablet to its Venue series in India, Venue 7 3741, priced at Rs 7,999 ($125). The device will be available in coming days.

The Dell Venue 7 3741 has a SIM card slot with support of voice calling and 3G. As its name suggest, it features a 7-inch (6.95 to be precise) display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The firm however doesn.’t mention anything regarding Android Lollipop update.

Diving in, the tablet is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with a base clock speed of 1.33GHz that can turbo boost up to 1.86GHz, coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and Power VR G6400 GPU. It comes with an 8GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 64GB).

The Venue 7 3741 houses a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera without LED flash while a VGA camera is placed at the front for video chatting. Connectivity options onboard are Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, and GPS. It is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
