Samsung Galaxy J7, Galaxy J5 With Android 5.1 OS Officially Launched

Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its new Galaxy device in China, the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5. The first carries a price tag of CN¥ 1798 (approx $290 USD), while the later is priced at CN¥ 1398 (approx $225 USD). Both device are listed on the firm website while availability for global market is yet undisclose.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixel. It offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with the firm own UI.

Under the hood, the smartphone is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, slammed with 1.5GB of RAM. It includes a 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). At the rear, the Galaxy J7 sports a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, f/1.9 aperture, accompanied by LED flash, while it bears a 5-megapixel camera at the front with LED flash as well.

Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 features a smaller 5-inch IPS display flaunting the same HD resolution, but it is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM.

It also support dual-SIM and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Built-in storage and Camera specs remains the same as Galaxy J7. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, 3G. 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 2600mAh battery.
