Xiaomi has launched an exclusive budget smartphone for Asia market named as Mi 4i. The device will first hit India on 30th of April via e-commerce websites Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon with a price tag of Rs 12,999 ($208 USD) while pre-registration opening will start today and is expected to last till the device goes on sale.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is a new variant of Mi 4 that was launched in July last year in China. When compare, the Mi 4i specifications is lower than Mi 4 but it comes with a larger and brighter display.

The smartphone offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with MIUI 6.0. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 441ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The gadget is driven by a 64-bit octa-core ( 4-core 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A53) Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor slammed with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The Mi 4i sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, dual-toned LED flash which is capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos while it houses a 5-megapixel selfie-enabled front camera. Much like Mi 4, the Mi 4i packs a 16GB of internal storage with no external storage support.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi with Hotspot, 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and USB with OTG. It is fuelled by a huge 3120mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i will be available in four different colors, White, Blue, Pink, and Yellow.
