Microsoft has launched a new Lumia device dubbed as Lumia 540 Dual SIM. The announcement was made on Wednesday via blog post and the smartphone is expected to take off in first week of May in Africa, Middle East, and Asia. It comes with a price tag of $150 USD (#30,000 NGN).
The Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM as its name suggest support dual-SIM functionality and runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim Update out-of-the-box which the firm claims is upgradeable to Windows 10. It features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display touting a pixel density of 294ppi and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM.

There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The Lumia 540 Dual SIM comes equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash at the rear while it also touts a 5-megapixel front camera for selfie shot.
Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, and Micro-USB. It is powered by a 2200mAh battery.
As usual, Microsoft is also offering free 30GB OneDrive cloud storage and Office 365 which include Word, Powerpoint and Excel with every purchase.
