Huawei has launched the Y9 (2019), its latest mid-end device for the global market. The 2019 edition of the Huawei Y9 brings few improvement over the 2018 edition; these includes a high resolution notch screen, a newer chipset, better RAM and storage configuration, and up-to-date connectivity.
The display is 6.5-inch in size, flaunting a pixel resolution of 2340×1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Under the hood is an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor running at a speed of 2.2GHz. All the graphics processing is handled by Mali G51 MP4 GPU, while the software is governed by Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top.

The dual SIM enabled Huawei Y9 (2019) comes in two models; the first includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the later packed a more substantial 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A MicroSD card slot is provided to further expand the storage up to 400GB. To remind you, the 2018 model only had 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
Residing at the back of the smartphone is 16MP+2MP dual camera with LED flash, while there is also 13MP+2MP dual camera at the front, just as seen on its predecessor. The cameras are embedded with AI features. There is a fingerprint sensor onboard, located at the back. According to Huawei, the fingerprint sensor can be used to navigate and manage all notifications with one tap.
Connectivity present on the Y9 (2019) are Bluetooth 5, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, GLONASS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 162.4×77.1×8.05mm, weighs 173, and is fuelled by a 4000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery with fast charging supports.
Pricing details is yet to be revealed, but the phone is expected to go on sale around mid October. It will be available in three different colors, Midnight Black, Aurora Purple, and Blue.

Huawei has introduced its Y9 (2019) smartphone in India few weeks after the company made it official. It will be available exclusively on Amazon India from January 15th at a price of Rs 15,990 ($224 USD).
