Huawei has launched Honor 9 Lite in China, a lesser variant of its Honor 9 smartphone. This features the modern 18:9 FullScreen display with minimal bezels unlike its big brother, however, it is powered by a less powerful octa-core Kirin 659 chipset. It comes in 3GB RAM+32GB storage version and 4GB RAM+64GB storage version, both included with external MicroSD card slots to further expand the storage up to 256GB.
The phone runs Google’s latest Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Huawei proprietary EMUI 8.0 on top. Furthermore, the Honor 9 Lite is equipped with four cameras, a dual 13MP+2MP camera at the back and another 13MP+2MP dual camera at the front for pro-photography. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back for biometric authentication while the power is drawn from a 3000mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 24 days of standby time and 20 hours of talk time on 3G.
