Cubot has officially taken the wraps of its latest smartphone that has been rumoured for a while in China named Rainbow, an entry-level device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The phone is listed on the company store as “out of stock” without pricing and availability details.

In terms of specifications, the Cubot Rainbow features a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS capacitive touch display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is driven on the inside by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. It includes a 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.
The dual-SIM enabled Cubot Rainbow sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash, while an 8-megapixel selfie camera is equipped at the front. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB and FM radio. It is backed by a 2200mAh battery. As oppose to its naming, the phone comes in five different colours, White, Silver, Red, Gold and Black.
