Restart Your Android Phone to Fix Auto-Rotate Issues
Rebooting your Android phone is an easy approach to solve most problems. When you do this, your phone deletes a number of temporary files, some of which may be preventing your phone’s screen from rotating automatically.
It’s simple to reboot an Android phone. To do so, press and hold the Power button on your phone for a few seconds. Then, from the option that appears, select Restart.
Place your phone sideways once it has been turned back on to see whether the screen spins.
Go to Android Settings and turn on Screen Rotation.
If you have the automatic screen rotation option enabled in your phone’s Quick Settings menu, try turning it on in the Settings app to see if it fixes your problem. This solution should solve your problem if you have a non-functional tile in Quick Settings.

To fix the auto-rotate issue, re-calibrate your phone’s sensors.
The built-in sensors on your Android phone detect if you’ve rotated your phone, allowing the phone to rotate the screen as well. If these sensors aren’t working properly, your phone won’t know when to rotate the screen.
Fortunately, most difficulties may be resolved by recalibrating your phone’s sensors. To calibrate phone sensors, there are built-in alternatives as well as specific third-party apps.
If you have an LG phone, for example, you may calibrate the sensors by going into Settings and selecting General > Motion. If you have a different phone, you may calibrate your sensors using free applications like Accelerometer Calibration and Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite.
In most calibration applications, you’ll draw the number 8 to re-calibrate the sensors.
