HTC U11 Life Launches with Dual 16MP Cameras, Android 8.0 Oreo

After several leaks and rumors, HTC has finally debuts its latest U series smartphone, the U11 Life. The phone is launched under Google’s Android One project, running Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The company is also offering a variant that runs its Sense software based on Android Nougat for select markets.

The U11 Life features a 5.2-inch Full HD display; is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 chipset; sports dual 16MP front and rear cameras, and is backed by a 2600mAh battery. It has the EdgeSense feature build into its side edges that let users perform certain actions or launch predefined apps when squeeze.

The phone lacks the common 3.5mm audio jack but instead supports USB-C audio. Buyers will not be paying for extra adapter as it comes bundled with an active noise-cancelling headphones. It is IP67 certified for water and dust resistant.

The Android One version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available in the U.Ⓚ and Europe for £349 ($460) and €395 ($62) respectively, while the Sense version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage will be available in the U.S exclusively on T-Mobile for $349.
