Huawei has officially unveiled the mini version of its Huawei Ascend P7 smartphone in Germany. The Ascend P7 Mini has been revealed days before the bigger version which is scheduled to be launch on May 6, and both the smartphones are now expected to be showcase on the same day.
Although the smartphone has been revealed, its price and availability remains unknown.
The Huawei Ascend P7 Mini runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box with the firm’s proprietary Emotion UI 2.0 Lite skin layered on top, which was already seen on Huwei Ascend P6.
The smartphone features a 4.5-inch TFT capacitive touch display with qHD resolution of 540×960 pixels and 244ppi pixel density.
It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Huawei Ascend P7 Mini sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing-camera that can be use for video chat.

The Ascend P7 Mini comes with an 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded to 32GB via microSD card as listed on the firm’s website. Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, DLNA, GPS, Micro-USB and 4G LTE. The smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh non-removable Li-Polymer battery that is rated to deliver up to 370 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time.
The Huawei Ascend P7 Mini will be available in two colour variants, Black and White.
Huawei earlier this month unveiled its mid-range Huawei Ascend Y600 smartphone that runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
