Lenovo in partnership with Google launched Phab 2 Pro, world’s first project tango phablet to go live at the Tech World 2016 event organized by the company in San Francisco. It sports three cameras at the rear, a 16-megapixel camera, a depth-focusing camera, and a motion tracking camera, for Tango’s 3D Mapping technology. It also comes equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera, and three noise-cancelling microphones.
Caved in a full metal body that measures 88.57 x 179.83 x 6.98-10.7mm and weigh 259 grams, the PHAB 2 Pro features a 6.4-inch 2.5D curve display with QHD (2560×1440) resolution and 459ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with a clock speed of 1.8GHz, slammed with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. It includes a 64GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow governs all software activities, and there is hybrid dual SIM slots onboard that lets users use the second SIM slot as a MicroSD card slot. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back for smart security and authentication. On the connectivity front, the PHAB 2 Pro supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS. It is backed by a 4050mAh battery with fast charging.
The phablet is priced at $499 USD. It will be available in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey colours when it go on sale globally in September.
