Microsoft launched two budget Windows Phone smartphones last month during MWC event, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. The firm on Tuesday has announced dual-SIM version of both smartphones for India market with Lumia 640 Dual SIM leading the pace at Rs 11,999 ($192 USD) while the Lumia 640 XL Dual-SIM is priced at Rs 15,799 ($215 USD). Both device will be available for purchase starting from today, however, the first is Flipkart exclusive.
The Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim Update out-of-the-box which will be upgradeable to Windows 10 in coming months. Their common specifications are dual-SIM support, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB built-in storage which is expandable to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The Lumia 640 Dual SIM features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It packs an 8-megapixel camera at the rear and a 0.9-megapixel camera at the front for video calling. Connectivity options included are 3G, Bluetooth, Wifi, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM features a larger 5.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display which is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel Zeiss Optics camera with autofocus and LED flash while it houses a 5-megapixel shooter at the front. On the connectivy front, the smartphone support Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, and FM radio. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
