After several postponements and delays, Microsoft has finally announced that it has started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile updates to selected devices running Windows Phone 8.1 operating system globally.

The availability of Windows 10 Mobile as an upgrade for existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices will vary by device manufacturer, device model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations, and other factors. 1.4 GB or greater download required. Wi-Fi internet connection is required to download and install the upgrade.
On its official blog, Microsoft said:
Today, we’re pleased to begin the roll-out of Windows 10 Mobile to select Windows Phone 8.1 devices. Consistent with our approach to the Windows 10 PC upgrade, we are focused on delivering a high quality experience for our customers.
To know if a Windows Phone 8.1 device supports Windows 10, users will need to download Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from Windows Store and run the program.
Lists of devices confirmed eligible for the update includes Lumia 430, 435, 532, 535, 536, 540, 635 (1GB), 638 (1GB),640, 640 XL, 730, 735, 830, 930 and 1520. You can download Window 10 Mobile Upgrade Advisor from Windows Store.
