Withings, the French technology firm known for its smart health apps and products, has announced Steel HR, the company’s latest smartwatch at IFA in Berlin. Like most smartwatches that make their way to the market recently, the device comes with a heart rate sensor that monitors the heart rate of the wearer and display the recorded data on the watch face.

It comes with a circular display and has a dial button at the right side that can be use to select and navigate. The Steel HR can track daily activities such as walk, run, step taken, sleep, swim, as well as calorie burnt. It automatically activate when you run, though the tracking can be enable manually. When paired with a supported smartphone via Bluetooth, the watch alert users of incoming text messages, missed calls and emails, and vibrating alarm features onboard help users keep up and not miss out on important schedules. All data, including heart rate behavior readings, can be view directly on paired smartphone as well.

Withings Steel HR 40mm

Furthermore, the smartwatch is water resistant and can survive up to 50 meters deep in water, making it suitable for swimmers and casual pool attendants. To cap it all, Withings claims up to 25 days of use with battery included.

The Withings Steel HR comes in 40mm band model with Black color priced at $199.95, and 36mm band model in White and Black color options priced at $179.95. Availability details is not mentioned.
