ZTE has officially announced Nubia Z17 in China, its latest flagship that has been rumoured for a while. The phone is the company’s first to be powered by Snapdragon 835 and the world’s second smartphone to comes with 8GB of RAM. We witnessed the birth of ZenFone AR that claimed world’s first with 8GB of RAM in January and seeing a Chinese firm claiming the second is amazing, simply amazing.
The Nubia Z17 is beautifully crafted and extremely slim at 7.6mm despite it packing a 3200mAh battery, although this has a slight negative effect on its weight which is a bit hefty at 173 grams. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD display which shouldn’t consumes power that much compare to if QHD panel is used. And oh the display is completely bezel-less at the side giving it a stunning look. On top of the display is Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.

The flagship name-calling is not only made manifest in its fast computing power and graphics but also in photography. Sitting at the back is dual horizontally-placed cameras, the first having a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture while the second boasts of a 23-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. For selfie, ZTE has planted a 16-megapixel camera at the front labelled with a special feature called “NeoVision 7.0” to further put it into good use.
The Nubia Z17 is not only the second smartphone in the world with highest RAM capacity but also the first to utilized Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat, has a fingerprint sensor at the back, and is water resistant.
