Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Surfaced with Dual Rear Cameras, More Bezel-less Design

Mi Mix 2S render

Xiaomi in September 2017 launched the second edition of its Mi Mix smartphone with updated specs and more bezel-less ceramic body, now, a new render has surfaced online hinting at a possible launch of a new variation of the device.

The Mi Mix 2S as called, will be the successor of the company’s Mi Mix 2, not only in specs but in design as well. Considering the renders that appeared, this will feature a thinner bottom bezel. While on the former the front camera is located at the bottom right of the screen, there seems not to be enough space at the bottom bezel of the Mi Mix 2S and so the camera have been moved to the top right of the screen.

Another notable difference on the outside is that this has rear-facing dual camera sensor, aligned vertically at the center of the phone back with a LED flash placed inbetween. To remind you, the last year Mi Mix 2 only featured a single rear camera.

The rear and the front of the Mi Mix 2S leaked renders shows no sign of a fingerprint sensor and so it is believed that it might comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. If this turns out to be true, then the Mi Mix 2S will be the world’s second smartphone to have under-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo claimed the first title last month with X20 Plus UD.

Other rumored specs includes octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB LPDDRX4 RAM, and 256GB ultra-fast UFS inbuilt storage. Xiaomi is yet to officially confirm the existence of the device so you can as well take these rumors with a pinch of salt.
