It is not surprising that we’ve started seeing new smartphones kicked out of their holes with just few days remaining for MWC to go live. To create a buzz ahead of the event, the Taiwanese firm Asus, has launched a new Android phone under its “ZenFone” line-up named ZenFone Live (ZB501KL). The new entry-level device is touted by Asus as world’s first to offer real-time beautification technology.
With a large 1.4µm sensor planted in the front camera, the ZenFone Live can capture clearer pictures—and combining this with its beatification technology can deliver beautiful real-time output image. There is also a soft LED flash at the front to further enhance image brightness during capture. Another notable feature is “BeautyLive”, a pre-installed app that let users live-stream to popular social media such as YouTube, Facebook and more with applied beauty effect intact during streaming.

To optimize audio deliver while streaming, the ZenFone Live is loaded with two MEM microphones which automatically detect and eliminate background noise. Disappointingly, Asus has chosen to use the nearly-dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its latest device.
