Chrome operating system is still pursuing its goal to catch up with other widely used desktop operating system, the race still continues at this year CES event as top laptop makers are unveiling their latest dirt-cheap Chrome-powered laptops, among which is the new Chromebook Flip C302CA made by Asus.
The laptop comes with a 12.5-inch full-HD (1920×1080) LED-backlit touch display with multi-touch support that can be flip up to 360-degree to use in four different modes, Laptop, Tablet, Tent, and Stand, thanks to its dual powerful hinge that helps keep its balance. This enable users to easily switch and flip for use in different environment such as office, home e.t.c.

With Chrome web store and Google Play store pre-loaded out-of-the-box, users has wide access to variety of Android apps and games with just a click. The Chromebook Flip C302CA is powered by Intel Core m3 or Core m7 depending on region and user preference, and it supports up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. A Pentium model will also be available at a pocket-friendly price. There is a multi-format (SD, SDHC, SDXC) card reader onboard to expand the built-in storage as well.
Other features included are full backlit keyboard, ABS (Ambient Light Sensor) that auto regulate screen brightness in different lighting, HD webcam, and stereo speakers. In connectivity aspects, the Chromebook Flip C302CA supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 2x USB Type-C 3.1 ports, and 3.5mm audio jack. It is fuelled by a 39WHr battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of use in a single charge.
Painted in Silver colour, the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA Intel Core m3 variant (with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage) is priced at US$499, while the Intel Core m7 variant (with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage) will cost up to US$1000. It is available in the United States and will go on sale in other selected markets soon.
