BQ has partnered with Telefónica to launched a new flagship smartphone in Europe called Aquaris X5. The device which runs Cyanogen 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box will be available for users on Telefónica network starting today (Thursday) in Spain, followed by Germany and UK in coming days. It’ll also be available on network carrier Moviestar in spain at a price of €8.7 ($9.4 USD) per month with two years contract and €209 ($225 USD) off-contract fee.

Specwise, the BQ Aquaris X5 features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of1280 x 720 pixels, protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 412 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It packs a 16GB of built-in storage which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

The dual SIM enabled BQ Aquaris X5 sports a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 and twin-tone LED flash at the rear, capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos, while it bears a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture at the front, which is also accompanied by a LED flash. In connectivity department, the device hosts Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 4G LTE Cat.4. 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB with OTG. It measures 144.4 x 70.5 x 7.5 mm and weight 148 grams. A 2,900mAh battery turn it on.
