The app is fully functional and has a sleek interface, it supports group chats, messages, share, profile, timeline, notifications and status updates just to mention few . The firm also claims that the new Lite version is faster and can smoothly runs on any Android phones.

While it is extremely difficult to use Facebook main app on 2G network, the Facebook Lite app respond faster and runs smoother without glitches on 2G (GPRS/EDGE) network.
Facebook Lite is only available for phones running Android OS. As of now, the app is only available for users in Bangladesh, Nigeria, South Africa, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Nepal.
