Garmin at the CES 2018 announced Forerunner 645 Music smartwatch, the company’s latest monitoring watch and its first to support offline music listening service. Users can store up to 500 songs on the watch and listen to them during workout by pairing their Bluetooth headset with the device. In addition, users can stream music from supported streaming services and save them for offline listening pleasure.

The device features a circular 1.2-inch (240×240) always-on transflective memory-in-pixel Chroma display that is sunlight visible, protected by a chemically strengthened glass. The Forerunner 645 Music provides advanced running dynamics, including ground contact time balance, stride length, vertical ratio and more. It also has 24/7 heart rate monitoring service that can evaluate current training session. It is GPS-enabled as well.

The watch is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and can be connected using Bluetooth, with supports of ANT+. It is 5ATM water resistant; supports Garmin Pay for contactless payment, and can render up to 7 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 5 hours in GPS mode with music turned on.

The Garmin Forerunner 645 Music is offered in two variants—the one without music capability (price starts at $399.99) and the one that supports music playback (price starts at $449.99). Both are available in select markets including in the U.S.
