1. Makerere University MasterCard Scholarships 2021/2022 for African Students


Makerere University, through the MasterCard Foundation, is offering full scholarships to young African undergraduates to educate and empower the next generation of African leaders at Makerere University.

Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships give talented students from anywhere in the Commonwealth the opportunity to gain a Master’s degree while developing new skills, experiencing life in another country, and building their global networks.

Scholarships are for students committed to creating change in their communities and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

2. Qalaa Holdings Scholarship Foundation (QHSF) Graduate Scholarships

The scholarship round has commenced. In addition to QHSF’s regular scholarship, the Foundation manages additional awards granted by Qalaa Holdings and its subsidiary companies.

Unless otherwise stated below, the same application process, schedule, eligibility criteria, and conditions as QHSF’s apply to the following scholarships.

Each of these scholarships covers candidates’ tuition fees and living expenses. The MAHS award covers tuition fees only.

4. Chinese Government African Union Scholarships (Masters and Ph.D.) for African Students

The Government of The People’s Republic of China has made scholarship offers to the African Union Commission, through the Department of Human Resources, Science, and Technology.

The Chinese Government African Union Scholarships will enable African students to study in China in the 2020/2021 Academic Year.

The scholarships are intended for studies leading to the award of Masters and Doctoral Degrees.

The scholarship will cover the cost related to teaching and the administration of the university and the living expenses of the students from the fund of the foreign aid, supervising the thesis.

1. New York University CSAAD Research Fellowship 2021 for African Researchers

The Center for the Study of Africa and the African Diaspora (CSAAD) Research Fellowship invites scholars based and living in Africa and the Diaspora ( outside of North America and Europe).

And who have completed the terminal degree in their field, submit applications for the opportunity to spend either one or two semesters at New York University.

2. Ghent University Full-fee Doctoral Scholarships 2021/2022 for Developing Countries

With support from its “Special Research Fund” (BOF), Ghent University grants Ph.D. scholarships to promising Ph.D. students from developing countries who wish to carry out half of their Ph.D. research at Ghent University and half in a university in a developing country.

The value of the scholarship at Ghent University depends on, the researcher’s family situation.
The Ghent University promoter also receives a bench fee to cover (part of) the operational costs, as well as the traveling costs of the student and both the Ghent University and the local promoter.

This is one of the After School Africa Scholarships 2021. The Obama Foundation Scholars Program seeks to support dynamic, collaborative, rising leaders from around the world in an innovative one-year academic experience.

Obama Foundation Scholars at the University of Chicago will receive a fully-funded scholarship to study a Master of Arts degree focused on International Development and Policy at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.

5. Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) 2021/2022 Fully-funded Programme for African Students to Study in Japanese Universities


This is one of the After School Africa Scholarships 2021. The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship Programme is open to applicants from AfDB member countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts who are applying to a graduate degree program in energy development and related discipline.

The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship does not provide scholarships to any other graduate degree program.
