Archos Launches Diamond Plus High Budget Smartphone With 4G LTE

Archos, the french phone maker, has again announced a new high-budget smartphone, Diamond Plus, after launching Diamond Tab tablet and three smartphones, Diamond S, 50 Celsium and 50e Helium last week in preparation for IFA event that remains just two days to take off. We know the firm to be most active especially when a special event is around the corner. This is not its first time of acting in such way ofcourse, we remember quite well that it does likewise a week before MWC event in March, unleashing four device.

The new Archos Diamond Plus costs £179.99 (US$275) and will start shipping from November. It will also be showcase at IFA this week. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside with Mali-T720 MP3 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It comes with a 16GB of built-in storage which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). The Diamond Plus runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and has two SIMs slot with 4G LTE support. A 16-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash is equipped at the rear while it houses an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front. Connectivity options onboard besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 2,850mAh battery.
