Asus Pegasus 5000 with 4,850mAh Battery, 5.5″ FHD Display Announced

Asus has made a new addition to its Pegasus series smartphone in China named Pegasus 5000. It comes in two variants, 2GB RAM version and 3GB RAM version, priced at CNY 1299 ($197 USD) and CNY 1799 ($273 USD) respectively. The device will be available in Blue and Golden colors when it go on sale later this month in China. Availability outside China is not known.

The Asus Pegasus 5000 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 401ppi, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled Mali-T720 GPU.

It packs a 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. The Pegasus 5000 offers dual SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Zen UI. A 13-megapixel autofocus with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash resides at the rear, while it sports a 5-megapixel camera at the front.

Connectivity options onboard includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is turn on by a huge 4,850mAh battery. The smartphone measures 155×76.4×9mm and weight 176 grams.
