Asus has added a new flagship smartphone to its ZenFone collection in India. The new device dubbed ZenFone 2 Laser 6 (ZE601KL) is a more powerful variant of ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL) launched along with ZenFone Max in August. It is priced at Rs 17,999 ($269 USD) and will be available in both online and offline stores across the region in coming days.
The ZenFone 2 Laser 6 ZE601KL features a 6-inch IPS display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which is 0.5-inch larger than the display on its predecessor. Diving in, it is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, slammed with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It has a built-in storage of 32GB, which is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The ZenFone 2 Laser 6 offers dual SIM functionality and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Zen UI. It comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Laser Auto Focus, f/2.0 aperture and tone LED flash, while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera is placed at the front, also sporting a f/2.0 aperture.
In connectivity compartment, the device support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11ac, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.
