Asus apart from its new ZenFone 5 flagships also launched the ZenFone 5 Lite, a mini stripped down variant with an 18:9 display. This have a slightly lower 2160×1080 pixel resolution to compensate the reduced screen height. The top notch is gone too. It is powered by an entry-level Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with up to 4GB of RAM. For those who desire more speed, there is also a Snapdragon 630 variant.
The ZenFone 5 Lite runs Android 7.0 Nougat with ZenUI 4.0 on top, the company however promised to roll out Android Oreo update with ZenUI 5.0 in the near future. The phone has 16MP+8MP dual camera at the back and 20MP+8MP dual camera at the front with Asus proprietary SelfieMaster technology for beautification when taking a selfie or live streaming. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3300mAh battery.
