Sony Mobile has added a new entry-level smartphone to its Xperia line-up, Xperia E5. The device surface last week on the company’s page but was quickly removed, today however, it was made official on the company’s product page. The Xperia E5 also comes in dual SIM variant dubbed Xperia E5 Dual, having two SIM slots instead of one.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touch display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, alongside with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. There is a 16GB of storage inside which is further expandable up to 200GB via MicroSD card.

The Xperia E5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports 4G LTE. Sitting at the back is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is placed at the front. Besides 4G LTE, the smartphone offers Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 3G, 2G, GPS, NFC, FM radio and Micro-USB as connectivity options. It is backed by a 2700mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia E5 will be available in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Middle-East from June at a starting price of €199 ($221 USD). It is painted in Graphite Black and White colours.
