LG has silently introduced a cost friendly entry-level tablet in the United States exclusively on Sprint. Dubbed G Pad F2 8.0, the device features an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800) touchscreen display with 16:10 aspect ratio and is driven by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU.

There is a 16GB of storage inside with an option to expand it up to 2TB via a MicroSD card slot provided. At the rear is a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with 1080p video recording capability, while another 5-megapixel camera is pinned to the front above the display. Features provided alongside with the cameras includes Gesture Shot, Auto Shot, Burst Shot, Cheese Shutter, and Live Shot.

LG G Pad F2 8.0 rear

The tablet runs Android 7.1 Nougat OS and offers Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE, GPS, and a full-size USB port as connectivity options. It houses two stereo speakers for entertainment while a 3,000mAh battery turn it on. An optional extended battery with 4400mAh capacity is also made available separately, which can be attached to the module at the back, giving a total of 7,400mAh.

The LG G Pad F2 8.0 can be purchase on Sprint for US$149.99 off-contract and on a monthly plan as well.
