Seagate has introduced a new portable hard disk drive under its “Backup Plus” line-up with 5TB of storage, making it the world’s first portable hard drive with highest storage capacity as at now. 2TB has been the outermost limit for a while but Seagate have just changed that.
The Backup Plus 5TB Portable Hard Drive is programmed to work on both Windows and Mac PCs. It comes with its own dashboard which becomes available immediately when plug-in for easy access to management of files and data. Within the dashboard, users can also schedule cloud or social media backup for additional protection against unforeseen crisis.

Its outer shell is made of aluminium for durability and it comes with USB 3.0 port for fast transfer of files.
The Seagate Backup Plus 5TB Portable HDD will be available in Red, Blue, Silver, and Black colors later this month at a price of US$189.99.
